OverviewSenior Manager, National Advisory Desk at Wellington-Altus. Location: Toronto office.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Supervision: Support the creation, deployment, and ongoing development of the National Advisory Desk solution; manage internal and external resources to achieve targets; attract and retain talent and make recommendations on hiring and compensation; coach and mentor direct reports.Advisory Desk Activities: Develop and execute a strategic plan for transitioning new households to corporately managed investment solutions; oversee and execute client risk assessments, investment model selection and account rebalancing; address client inquiries and service requests; ensure compliance with CIRO rules, securities legislation, and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements; maintain accurate records and documentation; collaborate with the Senior Management Team to align operational goals with company objectives; support the transition of new clients into the National Advisory Desk.Department Support: Maintain client files and ensure documentation compliance; stay updated on policy and procedure changes; attend client events; perform other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possessA degree or diploma in business administration, accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.10+ years’ financial services industry experience.5+ years’ experience in a client-service-facing role, via telephone or in person.Experience working as an advisor in a corporate national branch is an asset.Thorough understanding of Securities Industry products, capital markets, financial instruments, and investment strategies.CIRO licensing requirements, including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) and active registration as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO.Commitment to Continuing Education (CE) requirements.Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).High accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation; ability to handle multiple priorities; strong problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to develop and communicate on complex financial products/strategies; high attention to detail; strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to work across in-person, phone, and virtual formats; tolerance for ambiguity.Strong work ethic and professionalism.Conditions of employmentMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.Must be able to travel within Canada up to 10% of the time as operationally required.A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required prior to commencing employment.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is committed to equity and diversity and welcomes applicants from women, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and people of all sexual orientations and genders.
