Our Forensics practice specializes in investigating, assessing, and resolving financial issues related to the quantification of economic damages resulting from fraud, business disputes, or accidents. Services include forensic accounting, litigation support, insurance loss quantification, expert testimony, and more.What You Will DoManage projects and monitor the quality of work performed on forensic accounting engagements, including quantification of insurance claims, primarily from motor vehicle accidents and commercial losses.Gather and analyze financial data to quantify damages and conduct investigations.Correspond with insurance adjusters, claimants, internal accounting staff, and lawyers to discuss file issues and findings.Prepare and review reports, schedules, and appendices in a clear and concise manner in accordance with generally accepted standards.Develop and maintain client relationships, including accountability for most operational aspects of client engagement.Participate in presentations made to current and prospective clients.Coach, mentor, and train junior staff; conduct project/team performance reviews and provide continuous feedback on individual performance.Develop relationships with peers within KPMG and current and prospective clients.What You Bring To The RoleCPA designation required. Specialty designation (IFA, CFE, CFF, CBV) would be an asset.Minimum 5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, with demonstrated expertise in completing, leading, and/or managing auto accident benefit and commercial insurance claim loss quantification assignments.Strong analytical, accounting, and auditing skills.Strong knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting process.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills.Ability to establish relationships with staff and clients.Self-driven and highly motivated to be a leader.Our Values, The KPMG WayIntegrity | Excellence | Courage | Together | For Better.Equal Employment OpportunityKPMG in Canada is a proud equal opportunities employer.
