Job Description - Stress Engineer DTA (078975)Job Title: Stress Engineer DTACapGemini is open to providing relocation services to Montreal / Mirabel area.Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable Stress Engineer with damage tolerance analysis and repair engineering experience. This role offers the opportunity for career growth in engineering as well as possibilities for leadership. In today's climate, the safety of passengers on our aircraft is paramount and at Capgemini you will have the opportunity to provide your technical expertise on large commercial aircraft.Key Responsibilities:Apply your specific knowledge of aircraft stress areas for metallic repairs on aircraft structures.Perform damage tolerance analyses for specific repairs in support of the fleet.Prepare and review stress analysis reports.Interact with a multidisciplinary team in the development of structural repair solutions.Provide updates to the aircraft manuals such as Aircraft Structural Repair Publication and Aircraft Maintenance Publication.Required Skills:Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in stress analysis in the aerospace industry, including a minimum of three (3) years performing damage tolerance analyses on aircraft primary structures.A minimum of three (3) years of repair experience in aircraft/airframe.Good understanding of applicable airworthiness regulations (experience with Transport Canada is an asset).Dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good judgment.Good knowledge in aircraft metallic structure stress analysis (practical experience on commercial aircraft structures is an asset).Comfortable in interrogating aircraft structure repair drawings (Catia V5 is an asset).Mastery of MS Office software (Visual Basic coding experience is an asset).Expertise in NASGRO (required) (Golihat experience is an asset).Strong written and spoken communication skills in English (French is an asset).Capgemini is committed to providing reasonable accommodations during our recruitment process.
