Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring a full-time **Machine Operator** who is eager to work in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment in our **Richmond**, BC location. The Machine Operator operates various production, processing, and packaging machines.**Position:** Full-Time, Permanent **Salary:** $19.75/hour (paid on a weekly basis)**Shift:** Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, Sundays when needed**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Operates specific production machines safely and efficiently.* Works with production supervisors and managers to schedule production on specified equipment.* Follows company-standardized pack specifications along with any customer-specified deviations, as communicated through special instructions via work orders/cut tickets.* Follows the company's detailed product specifications.* Perform Quality Control checks and communicate with supervisors and managers any defects.* Communicates with production supervisors and managers regarding any maintenance concerns and PM scheduling.* Offers assistance to other team members.* A machine operator must follow and maintain all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations and ensure all employees in their department follow them.* Perform any other duties as required.**Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:*** Previous manufacturing experience in a food processing facility* Basic machine operational knowledge (turning machines on/off, changing programs, and re-tooling basics)* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English* Must be able to work on weekends and holidays* Ability to work in a refrigerated environment* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs* Must be able to work independently or within a team environment* Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures* Follows the company's Quality Control procedures**Fresh Start Foods offers a range of benefits, including:*** Comprehensive health and dental benefits (including vision, prescription drugs, disability, and extended health coverage)* Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Matching Program* Annual Profit Sharing Bonus* Weekly paychecks* Employee Family Assistance Program* Opportunities for career advancement* Employee Recognition Programs* Company-sponsored events (Family Picnic, Staff Celebration, BBQs)* Training opportunities* Annual Safety Boot Allowance Program* Full-time hours* A team-oriented work environment
