Your mission will be to strengthen our team, helping ensure project objectives, schedules, and budgets are met. On any given day, you'll have the opportunity to interface directly with clients that include major urban centers, municipalities, First Nations, provincial agencies, federal organizations, and private industry. All of this will take place in a collaborative work environment where you will work together with other disciplines to get the job done.Depending on your personal career path, you will focus on design development or take on project management responsibilities, under the leadership of our senior engineers. Opportunities will continue to be provided to expand your knowledge and you will participate in larger municipal infrastructure projects catered to your interests.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare designs, drawings, and specifications for a variety of infrastructure projects including storm, sanitary systems, water distribution systems, storm detention ponds, force mains, lift stations, and site grading.Prepare associated design reports, studies, and contract documents.Lead the municipal projects as the Project Manager to communicate with the client, subconsultants, contractors and ensure quality deliverables, budgets and schedules are met.Participate in proposals and expressions of interest considering the methodology for undertaking potential projects.Provide on-site construction administration support and inspection of active projects.Participate in multi-disciplinary teams from initial conceptualization through to final completion.Communicate with clients, contractors, utilities, agencies, and stakeholders.Support contract administration of construction assignments.About YouBachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institutionP.Eng. /E.I.T. designation, or eligible for registration as Professional Engineer/EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists of British ColumbiaMinimum 8 working years of experience in Municipal Engineering and/or Water Resource EngineeringStrong verbal, written, and presentation skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to visit remote project sitesExperience supporting the planning, design, and implementation of various civil projectsExperience in all or most of the following areas: water supply, treatment & distribution, wastewater collection & treatment, stormwater management, municipal servicing, and land development, site gradingFamiliarity with AutoCAD & Civil 3DMust possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checksExperience assets include:Knowledge of storm and water hydraulic modeling using software such as PCSWMM, XPSWM, Infoworks, HEC-RAS, SWMHYMO, WaterCad, etc.Familiarity with relevant municipal and guidance documentsWhat we offer?Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits starting from your first dayPaid sick time to prioritize your well-beingHybrid and flexible work options to support work-life balanceProfessional development and mentorship opportunitiesConvenient free parkingThe salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually.Please note that the salary range mentioned in this job description should serve simply as a guide.
