Who you are You will play a key role in shaping and enhancing our financial software solutions, empowering customers to achieve their goals. Leveraging expertise in financial systems, programming, and analysis, you will contribute to building innovative, reliable, and high‑performance products that assist Canadians in managing their day‑to‑day banking with our Canadian bank partners. What you are accountable for Design and document technical requirements and deliverables in collaboration with Technical Publication. Apply Agile methodologies; break Epics and User Stories into sprint‑based tasks. Participate in retrospectives, code reviews, and paired programming initiatives to implement best practice. Maintain accurate timesheets and task estimates, sprint deliverables, POCs, and innovation updates. Practice effective whitespace management and support others where possible. Implement shift‑left testing methodologies, functional and performance testing, DAST/SAST, and CI/CD integration. Contribute to Software Communities of Practice; drive continuous improvement, DevOps culture migration, process improvements, tech radar management, mentoring, onboarding. Communicate positively; uphold energy, pride, and passion. Support DevOps culture with Guard Duty mode and hold yourself and the team to a high bar. What you bring Computer science or software engineering degree, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of software engineering experience. Proficiency in modern development methodologies; strong DevOps/DevSecOps and Agile expertise. Commitment to quality left, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration practices. Enterprise architecture knowledge, design patterns, and high‑standard mindset. Passion for technology and history of delivering high‑quality software, products, and services. Self‑motivated, results‑driven problem solver; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Desire to leave an indelible mark and drive transformation and best‑in‑class processes and products. Technical Experience Modern object‑oriented languages: C#, C++, Java, Python, Golang, Rust. Prompt engineering frameworks and concepts. Enterprise architecture design patterns and tooling. SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling techniques. RESTful API standards and protocols. Modern software testing techniques, Test‑Driven Development, integration and acceptance testing. Version Control Systems – GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket. Continuous Integration – Jenkins, Bamboo. Build Tools – Gradle, Ant, Maven. Testing Tools – ReadyAPI, Postman/Newman, JUnit. Continuous Deployment – Helm, ArgoCD. Security & Compliance – X‑Ray, SonarQube, Rate. Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Ansible.
