Senior Clinical Fellow – General Medicine Join to apply for the Senior Clinical Fellow – General Medicine role at NHS Scotland. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff to provide acute, primary, community and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million, and 2.2 million when regional and national services are included. Fixed‑term 12‑month post: 40 hours per week on full shifts. The post is based in the West of Scotland Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The unit is the largest of the three Scottish CF units, caring for 274 adults and is part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers inpatient and outpatient care. You will have opportunities to gain competence in practical respiratory procedures, including pleural procedures and bronchoscopy, and to participate in the general respiratory outpatient clinics and teaching programme within Glasgow Hospitals. The unit has a highly active research programme with collaborations with the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and several pharmaceutical companies, including preclinical basic science research and phase I‑III clinical trials. The Fellow is expected to focus time on research or acquiring clinical skills relevant to higher training, and options can be discussed with the successful candidate to enhance their CV. Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date must submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST).
