Global Mission of the position Under the supervision of the Garage Supervisor, the successful candidate will participate on repairs and service maintenance on trucks, trailers and loaders (CAT, Volvo). Personal Qualities Required Physical fitness Assiduous Autonomous Accountable and dependable BIG RESPONSABILITIES Committed to a top performance in a safe work environment Repairs and maintenance on trucks, trailers and loaders Welding experience with MIG and stick primarily Hydraulic line building and repair Tire removal and replacement on all above-mentioned equipment Small engine diagnostic and repair Some fabrication Support team members in achieving excellence in all areas Ensure that all employees work in accordance with the rules, policies, programs and procedures of the company Report any safety hazards to the supervisor/manager Perform other duties as assigned to be deemed in the best interest of the organization REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS - TECHNICAL KNOLEDGE AND GENERIC SKILLS High School diploma (grade 12) or equivalent Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Truck and Transport Technician Certification Good Safety and attendance record Highly motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a manufacturing or an industrial environment is an asset. Flexibility to meet changing needs within the business.
