You will be tasked with assisting in driving improvements for the deployment and operations of Nanometrics’ systems as well as implementing and supporting custom software development for customer specific needs. You will be expected to become an expert in the integration and use of our software systems in the creation of complete customer solutions.The TeamThe Nanometrics Seismic Instruments and Systems division is looking for a Software Solutions Specialist within our Solutions Engineering team. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will bring your expertise and experience to solving difficult problems with team members with other specializations. Supporting the Instruments and Systems Sales Team, this role will have direct interaction with customers in establishment of customer solutions. The working environment will be a mix between office work, lab work, and international working environments. This role will include travel as needed (approximately 15%).The RoleIntegrate internally developed instruments and software into complete customer solutionsProvide bespoke components and customizations to specific customer requirementsEvaluation and integration of the third-party and open source data processing and automation modulesWork with management to clarify requirements and prioritize development featuresCollaborate with the Sales team in driving continuous improvement to customer solutions and project designSupport the development of Nanometrics on-premise data center infrastructure in support of external client projects and internal research projectsWhat You BringBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field3+ years experience in a software integration, systems engineering, or product development position. Preference given to someone with software development experienceProficiency with scripting and programming languages for the purposes of automations and data analysis (eg.
