Position Title: Payroll Administrator Type: In-Office | Full-Time Seeking candidates open to permanent, temporary/contract settings in the Edmonton and surrounding areas. Our client is a well-established organization known for its commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities As the Payroll Administrator, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and company policies. Your responsibilities will include: Payroll Processing Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness to support employee satisfaction and operational continuity. Payroll Compliance & Administration Administer deductions, benefits, remittances, and payroll adjustments. Maintain compliance with federal/provincial payroll legislation and internal policies. Reporting & Systems Management Prepare payroll reports, assist with audits, and maintain accurate payroll records. Use payroll systems such as Viewpoint, ADP, Ceridian, or similar to manage data and streamline processes. Collaborating & Employee Support Respond to payroll inquiries and work closely with HR, Finance, and project teams. Support payroll-related initiatives that enhance efficiency and overall employee experience. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following: Education & Experience Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume or unionized environment. PCP or NPI designation preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency with payroll software (Viewpoint, ADP, Ceridian, or similar). Strong understanding of payroll legislation, deductions, and reporting. Key Competencies Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
