This is a senior-level role responsible for technical leadership, client advisory, and pre-sales solutioning - ideal for professionals who want to influence both the delivery and strategic direction of SAP projects.Key Responsibilities:SAP System Architecture & Landscape DesignDesign and manage robust and scalable SAP landscapes across ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, PI/PO, Fiori, and SAP BTPDefine enterprise-grade infrastructure strategies: high availability, DR, system sizing, backup & recoveryAdvise on SAP system conversions, selective data transitions, and greenfield deploymentsSAP BASIS Administration & Technical OperationsManage system installations, configurations, patches, kernel upgrades, and performance tuningHandle HANA database administration, monitoring, memory/performance optimizationMaintain transport management systems (TMS), client strategies, Solution Manager, and system refreshesCloud & Hybrid Landscapes (RISE, BTP, Hyperscalers)Lead technical enablement and operations for SAP systems on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP RISE)Set up and support SAP BTP subaccounts, destinations, Cloud Connector, and extensionsGuide hybrid architecture involving on-prem and cloud-based SAP systemsIntegration & SecuritySupport secure integration via SAP PI/PO, Integration Suite, OData, Web Services, and 3rd party APIsManage SSL certificates, SSO, SAML, SAP Router configuration, and secure transport of sensitive dataEnsure compliance with IT policies, audit controls, and SAP security standardsPre-sales & Client Advisory (Strategic Role)Participate in pre-sales activities by shaping technical solution architecture and effort estimatesSupport proposal writing, RFP responses, and customer workshops with BASIS/infrastructure expertiseAct as trusted advisor to client IT teams, helping define technical roadmap, SAP sizing, and cost-effective infrastructure strategyRepresent the SAP BASIS domain in client governance meetings and architecture review boardsPractice Leadership & MentorshipDrive continuous improvement by developing reusable scripts, SOPs, and monitoring templatesContribute to internal knowledge base and SAP practice growth initiativesMentor junior BASIS consultants and provide technical leadership across projectsPractice Development & Client AdvisorySupport pre-sales by shaping SAP solutions for RFPs, proposals, and PoCsAdvise clients as a trusted technical advisor on SAP roadmaps, scalability, and modernizationHelp build the SAP practice through capability development, knowledge sharing, and standardizationContribute to reusable architecture assets, reference models, and acceleratorsTechnical Governance & Delivery OversightReview and approve technical designs, developments, and custom enhancementsEnsure alignment with architecture principles, security, and clean core guidelinesLead governance forums with project teams and stakeholdersEstablish coding standards, DevOps pipelines, and release controlsStakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with functional consultants, data architects, and enterprise architectsEngage with business leaders, CIOs, and project sponsors during solution designProvide thought leadership in architecture boards and digital strategy workshopsRequirements:Core Technical Skills10+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration and architecture rolesStrong experience in:SAP NetWeaver (ABAP/Java), ECC, S/4HANA, BW, FioriHANA DB administration and tuningSAP S/4HANA conversion preparation and execution (Readiness, SUM, DMO)Cloud platforms: RISE with SAP, BTP, AWS, Azure, GCPIntegration monitoring, interface troubleshooting, system log analysisSecurity & ComplianceUnderstanding of SAP Security basics: roles, authorizations, profile parametersExperience with audit-readiness, system hardening, and identity management (SAML/SSO)CertificationsSAP BASIS / S/4HANA System AdministrationITIL Foundation or other operations governance frameworks (bonus)TOGAF or cloud architecture certification (AWS/Azure/GCP - SAP specialization)Soft SkillsStrong leadership, planning, and client-facing communication skillsAbility to operate independently and take ownership of large technical workstreamsStrategic thinker with attention to detail and risk assessmentComfortable advising CxO-level stakeholders on technical architecture and costsLanguages:Fluent in English & FrenchBenefits:Be a go-to SAP Technology leader for our global clientsA fast growth team, with excellent work culture and flexible/hybrid work environmentWork on enterprise-scale S/4HANA transformation projectsLead SAP strategy and architecture for large-scale, global programsCollaborate with high-caliber SAP and IT leaders globallyContribute to growing a modern, agile, and customer-focused SAP practiceAccess learning platforms and support for certifications and conferencesCollaborative, International work environmentSopra Steria is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
