IT Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking an IT Risk Analyst (GRC) for a permanent full time position in the Greater Toronto Area or Western Ontario corridor. They are offering 80-100k salary, full benefits, paid vacation and more. This position requires 1 day per week (or month) onsite depending on location. Key Responsibilities : Perform risk assessments, gap analysis, and detailed reviews of security controls, policies, and procedures. Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments Perform risk assessments on IT third-party vendors and service providers. Creating and maintaining IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Analyze security for hardware, software, and network systems to identify vulnerabilities and potential weaknesses. Prepare and present reports to management on the organization's risk posture, compliance status, and audit results. Create detailed reports outlining assessment findings, including risk levels and actionable recommendations for improvement. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards, such as those from PCI, NIST, and other industry-specific frameworks. Communicating risk and compliance status to stakeholders and management. Stay updated on the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats, methodologies, and technologies. Essential Skills and Qualifications : 7+ Years of experience as an IT Risk Analyst Proficiency in risk management, auditing, cybersecurity, and specific frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Deep experience in Canadian privacy regulations Professional certifications like CGEIT, CISSP, CGRC, CISA, CRISC, IAPP, are nice to have Ability to analyze complex systems, identify security flaws, and correlate information to develop comprehensive insights. Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly explain technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in IT security, conducting risk assessments, and working with specific security frameworks like NIST is crucial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
