In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for the firm, for any tax-related matters or process.ResponsibilitiesRespond to Pre-assessment, Post-assessment and matching letters received from CRA for client personal tax return supportActs as the first point of contract for any incoming or outgoing CRA inquiriesEstablish business accounts for clients, generating a business number with CRA including opening HST/GST and payroll accounts as necessaryRemit authorization and consent forms to CRA electronically and by mailCreate or update client payroll schedules; filing GST Returns onlineAdminister CRA and ROE portals including onboarding clients and team membersContact and follow up with clients regarding tax filings and enquiries.Prepare tax correspondence as requiredGenerate and e-file T4/T5/NR4 forms; prepare client cover letters and archive in the Firm’s document management systemTracking of all correspondence and archive to the Firm’s document management systemScan client documents, as needede-file and Assemble Individual Tax ReturnsQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience working in a public accounting firm.Graduate of an Office Administration Program, or the equivalent combination of education and/or related experienceFamiliarity with CRA’s portals would be a strong assetDemonstrated ability to learnAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
