As a Senior Risk Assessor, you’ll be empowered to lead projects and contribute your expertise in risk assessment, toxicology, and environmental sciences to deliver impactful solutions.This role is perfect for a driven problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to mentor junior staff, contributing to both their development and project success. If you bring a resilient, adaptable approach and a passion for environmental solutions, we’d love to hear from youMake a DifferenceLead and support risk assessments on Contaminated Site Assessments and Remediation projects, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulatory frameworksManage and oversee risk assessment tasks from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, resourcing, reporting, and budget tracking, ensuring projects stay on track and within scopeConduct human health and ecological risk assessments, analyzing exposure to soil, surface water, groundwater, and air for various chemicalsPrepare reports and critical analyses to assess risks and environmental impactsConduct in-depth literature reviews on environmental chemistry, public health, and other key areas to inform your workContribute to environmental assessments and planning, from baseline investigations to detailed site assessmentsDevelop and implement field programs for sample collection and chemical analysisMentor and provide technical support to junior team members, fostering growth and development within the teamCultivate relationships with regulatory representatives to drive successful outcomes and guideline modificationsCollaborate with project managers to streamline workflows, ensuring a cohesive and effective project teamBuild and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clientsLead the development and implementation of best practices, procedures, and quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standardsShowcase Your Talents & AchievementsA Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Toxicology, Biological Sciences, or a related fieldProfessional registration with a relevant association (e.g., APEGA, ASPB, ACPA, AIA), or eligibility for registration15+ years of relevant experience with a passion for environmental risk assessmentExpertise in human health and ecological risk assessments with strong field experienceIn-depth knowledge of provincial standards (e.g., AEPA, AER) and federal guidelines (CCME) for risk assessmentsStrong data evaluation skills, including statistical analysis, with an eye for quality and detailExcellent communication skills, with the ability to integrate multi-disciplinary information into clear, compelling reportsA strong team player who enjoys collaborating across disciplines and sharing knowledgeShare in our ValuesWe look for people who have shared values when we add new members to the 360 team.
