OverviewOur client is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Accountant to join the corporate accounting function. This role will be focused on supporting accounting and reporting activities across the firm’s finance and real estate divisions, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare daily reports covering mortgages, deposits, savings, and overall cash positionsMonitor and validate electronic banking activity on a daily basisComplete bank and subledger reconciliations regularlyTrack daily cash balances and record related journal entriesProcess cheque deposits and wire transfers accurately and promptlyMaintain financial records, working papers, and supporting schedulesSupport preparation of financial statements for affiliated companiesProvide documentation and schedules to external auditors as requiredPerform ad hoc tasks and special projects as assignedQualificationsCPA designation (completed or in progress) considered a strong advantageDegree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineAt least 3 years of relevant accounting experienceStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsFamiliarity with Sage 300 preferred, or willingness to be trainedProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to work effectively under deadlines and adapt in a dynamic environmentAttention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetPrevious exposure to financial services or real estate is an assetLocation: Stoney Creek, Ontario, CanadaEmployment type: Full-timeSalary: CA$80,000.00 - CA$115,000.00 per year (range shown for context) #J-18808-Ljbffr
