Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:Provide electrical design and coordinate electrical design team on large data centre/institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete the document on scheduleConduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesReview electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devicesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or TechniciansPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsA minimum of 5 years experience in electrical design of buildings in North America, preferably with data centre or hospital projects (lighting/power/systems)Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasisPrevious experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy PowerAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
