Job PurposeThe Engineering Project Manager will lead the engineering efforts of major projects in mechatronics or Electric Vehicle Integration. The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the solution and for controlling all the engineering and prototyping aspects of the project, including schedule, quality and costs. This individual will have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with challenging deadlines. This position will report into the Global Engineering Project Management Office (EPMO) within the High Voltage Customer Solutions team. This group has a goal to provide centralized direction and enhance the practices of project execution management, organizational governance, and strategic change leadership.ResponsibilitiesLead design / development activities of electric motor and inverter projectsCreate and manage program timelines by directing, coordinating, and communicating to all functional groups assigned to the project as well as customer functional groups, supplier, and vehicle line platform teamsEnsure projects are launched on‑time and meet deliverablesFollow ASPICE process requirements, create and maintain required documentationManage issue and change tracking and coordinate with all stakeholdersCoordinate and present project status updates to leadershipCoordinate DFMEA, DVP and follow up with SDE/SQA for PPAP approvalsDirect the effort to define the project charter, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityApply multiple engineering project management methods and skills to tailor the execution of projects of varying scopes and implementation plansCreate and manage R&D budgets related to development and estimate product cost ensuring target financial goals are achievedEffectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain awareness of project scope and milestonesDrive project work to completion, using good judgment in determining when to escalate issues to managementSupport purchasing with supplier identification, technical discussions, and timeline reviewsIdentify and resolve issues/risks using established engineering and project management tools and techniquesImplement enhancements to project management procedures and processes at Dana through continuous improvement and lean effortsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in engineering and 5 year(s) of progressive experience in automotive fieldMinimum of 3 years of progressive experience in design / development of electrification productsKnowledge of the automotive electrification sectorAccomplished business leader with the ability to work successfully in a matrix environmentMust have a strong understanding of complicated technical productsExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsEffective listener and communicatorProficient technical skills Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Excel, Project #J-18808-Ljbffr
