Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in : Provide technical expertise with a strong field background in wildlife and / or vegetation surveys Lead, coordinate, and / or conduct field surveys including targeted efforts for Species at Risk, habitat assessments, Conduct wetland evaluations and boundary delineations Support the development of proposals, including scoping, budgets, and overall work plan Lead and support technical report writing. Coordinate, write, and / or provide technical natural environment input on Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, Natural Heritage Evaluations, and other natural environment-related reports. Lead and support permits, authorizations, and approvals (MECP, Conservation Authorities, ESA, SARA, Complete detailed literature reviews of projects including official plans, provincial legislation and regulations, consultant reports, GIS sources, scientific literature, and natural heritage databases Provide data interpretation and analysis Opportunity to be a supervisor of field teams and / or direct reports Work with peers and mentor other staff in all aspects of environmental consulting, while fostering an energetic and collaborative environment What you will bring to the team : Bachelor's degree in science or environmental studies, university or equivalent Minimum 5 years of related work experience required Previous experience working at an environmental consulting firm is an asset Experience in Ontario conducting vegetation and / or wildlife surveys with a thorough understanding of survey protocols, including Species At Risk surveys Willingness to travel to undertake fieldwork as required (field demands can include working long hours, working in inclement weather conditions, and working in remote areas) Ideal candidate will have Ontario-based certifications or training (. Ecological Land Classification, Butternut Health Assessment, Ontario Wetland Evaluation System, The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and in the preparation of Environmental Impact Studies Experience leading multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment Exhibit flexibility with the types of projects and responsibilities within them Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, excellent English writing and verbal communication is required to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences including clients, agencies, subcontractors, field staff, clients, colleagues, etc. A valid driver's license along with a clean driver's abstract is required Must have or be able to obtain first aid certification As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
