Senior Project Planner (Nuclear) Location: Ontario offices, Canada – travel within the GTA and surrounding areas required. Job Description WSP’s Nuclear subsector supports clients with technical, feasibility, project management, design, procurement, site, quality, commissioning and asset‑management services. We are hired for new builds, refurbishments, decommissioning and other complex nuclear projects. WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner/Scheduler (Nuclear) who will work on high‑complexity energy projects in the Toronto region. Responsibilities Lead full‑lifecycle planning for EP/EPCM/EPC nuclear projects. Facilitate planning sessions to establish PMBs tailored to nuclear scope. Develop and maintain detailed schedules, including regulatory milestones and licensing phases. Perform resource loading/leveling and critical‑path analysis for nuclear deliverables. Support proposal teams with nuclear‑specific planning and scheduling inputs. Mentor junior staff in nuclear scheduling best practices. Integrate client schedules with EPC timelines, ensuring alignment with nuclear safety and compliance standards. Identify and model schedule impacts related to licensing delays, outage windows and regulatory reviews. Collaborate with project managers to develop "what‑if" scenarios for scope changes. Define WBS and generate master schedule baselines for engineering, procurement and construction activities. Track and report risks specific to nuclear operations, including regulatory and environmental factors. Maintain risk register and support mitigation planning for nuclear‑related schedule threats. Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with hands‑on experience in nuclear project scheduling. Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles in regulated environments. Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning/scheduling for nuclear, power generation or heavy‑industrial projects. Familiarity with Canadian nuclear regulatory frameworks (e.g., CNSC milestones) is a strong asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Oracle systems and Power BI is an asset. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality outputs under pressure. Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to risk and change management. MUST be able to pass a security clearance.
