This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contributing to process improvements that enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial reports, supporting audit and tax requirements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Prepare and review financial statements and account reconciliations, investigating variances and providing actionable insights. Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and support external reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and strengthen internal controls. Contribute to special projects and system initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and financial transparency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA designation (or candidate actively completing the program). Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting; exposure to manufacturing, construction, or distribution industries considered an asset. Proficiency with ERP systems and strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE). Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
