Senior iOS Developer – Digital Banking

Work arrangement: (Hybrid) 2 days in office – Wed and Fridays Contract Duration: 6 months and then will be renewed on a monthly basis due to changes in the funding source. Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE: Yes / possible Reason to bring resources: For brand new project. Business group: CCA Retail Digital Engineering – Develop and support online and mobile banking platforms for bank in the Caribbean region focusing on retail customers Initiative: Faster Payments - Guyana, Barbados initiative. The contractor will be working on existing backlogs for mobile. Typical Day in Role Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner The majority of time will be focused on the Wave Mobile app project, but there could be some occasional ad hoc work Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills 10 or more years of iOS development (conceptualization, design, and development), including experience with Swift 5 and XCTest Strong knowledge of UIKit, Auto Layout, and building interfaces programmatically Familiarity with different software design patterns (MVC/MVVM), with experience providing hands‑on architectural design for native iOS apps Hands‑on experience implementing accessibility and dark mode Good knowledge of iOS design best practices and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. Willing and able to provide designers with constructive feedback Nice‑To‑Have Skills Bonus points for knowledge of and experience with Combine and SwiftUI Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs Experience with tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket Comfortable working on a large‑scale product as part of a large and complex enterprise, with both new technologies and building on top of legacy systems Apple AppStore app publish / launch experience The best candidate is a hands‑on developer with direct experience building financial and fintech applications.
