About the job CNC High Speed Mill MachinistMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Setting up and operate a CNC Precision MillInterprets drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of specific machining operationsLoad and edit control media to optimize and/or correct machine performanceCalculates and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control elements.Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunction and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.Through the use of precision measurement tools to verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications with tolerances as low as +/- .001 to +/- .0002.Conduct routine maintenance on equipmentThe proper maintenance of the machine and housekeeping of their work area.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCECollege Diploma or Certified Apprenticeship program in General Machining, Tool & Die or Mould Maker preferred or Mechanical Technician DiplomaMinimum 5+ years of recent experience operating a High Speed Finishing Mill to extremely tight tolerancesProven knowledge interpreting engineering drawings and use of hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)Ability to work in a high precision, fast paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
