Working here is fast-paced, non-stop, and a little unpredictable—and we love it.Your area of focusThe Automotive Sales Representative interacts with customers online, over the phone and in-person to guide them through the vehicle purchase process. With your outstanding communication and listening skills, you’ll help our customers select their perfect vehicle, negotiate terms to ensure that payment options meet their lifestyles, budgets, and expectations all while focusing on providing an exceptional experience. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of customer-facing experience, a “hunter” mentality with the ability to stay self-focused, and an impressive track record of building relationships to retain customers.What drives your day-to-day?Greet and assist customers entering the showroom floor, presenting a professional environment that supports automotive sales while ensuring customer satisfactionAnswer questions about new cars, used cars, vehicle performance, applications processes and financing for the clientele acting as a subject matter expertEmploy strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport when assisting potential customers with their vehicle selection and finalizing their payment termsMaintain an up-to-date customer database to drive current and future automotive sales for the dealershipPresent used and new cars through test drives, demonstrations, and dealership walk-throughsLeverage negotiation skills without compromising customer satisfaction to carry out the sales process following dealership standards and policiesSend emails and make calls to prospective buyers to ensure daily calendar has the necessary number of customer appointmentsFollow up with previously sold clients to earn repeat and referral business while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction standards possibleStay current on required dealer group and manufacturer trainingOther duties as assigned by store leadershipThe must-haves3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role required; experience in retail, sales, marketing, and customer service is preferredMust be 18 years of age or older to meet insurance requirements for operating a motor vehiclePossession of authorized documentation required to gain employment, a current valid driver’s license and acceptable Driver’s AbstractMust submit to and adequately pass a pre-employment background and MVR screen prior to employmentOpen availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays; employees are required to stay until the customer’s purchase is complete and satisfaction ensuredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferredAbility to meet the physical demands of the position (standing, sitting, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct emails and messages in a professional and inviting mannerCompetitive spirit, drive, outgoing personality, consistency, and resilience to meet monthly sales objectives while following a daily work planValid OMVIC certification is required for this roleValid driver's licenseThe perksCompetitive Compensation and Benefits PackageEmployee Vehicle Purchase & Service PlansEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramsPaid holiday and flex time for full time AutoCanada employeesCompany-wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar yearProfessional development and the opportunity to grow your careerWe strive to create a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensures fairness and equal opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging for all Team Members.
