Typical Day – Counter Salesperson When customers come to the counter, greet them in a friendly manner, locate desired products and process payment. Answer a wide range of questions and suggest complementary or alternative products as needed. Answer phone calls in a professional manner and redirect them if necessary. Keep the counter clean and organized to optimize the customer experience and provide effective marketing. Provide assistance to warehouse or sales personnel when needed. Maintain knowledge of product lines and systems used. Typical Day – Warehouse Highly meticulous in keeping the warehouse tidy, ensuring merchandise is placed in the right location. Ensures productivity and safety in the warehouse and in the yard. Ensures orders are filled accurately and on time. Offload trucks, check for missing and damaged merchandise. Receive and verify shipments and place merchandise in stock. Locate related customer back‑orders and advise customer of their arrival.
