OverviewEnvironmental Health and Safety Consulting — Richmond, BCSalary Range: $95,000 - $105,000Team Leaders are organized, efficient project managers with strong people skills. This role focuses on hazardous materials management (asbestos, lead, silica) and involves guiding and mentoring a team to deliver high-quality environmental health and safety services. The position is based in our Richmond, BC office with a hybrid work arrangement.ResponsibilitiesEnsure technical excellence and quality in the delivery of all services/productsAssign, schedule and oversee work completed by Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Technologists and support staff assigned to the divisionProactively manage staffing levels and project costsCollaborate with team members across divisions to achieve effective planning, coordination and resource allocationCollaborate with other Team Leaders and Operations Managers to recognize and target business development opportunitiesSupport marketing and business development activities for the division; including representing the company at trade shows, conferences, client and association eventsProactively manage staff by managing expectations for training and career/skills developmentEffectively manage client concerns to maintain strong client partnershipsFoster a supportive and communicative work environmentParticipate in the preparation of annual operational budgets and operational/strategic business plansQualificationsWe are looking for a solid background in Hazardous Materials project success and experience in effective communications with clients. Proven ability to effectively manage staff, maintain positive morale, and lead a culture of teamwork and service excellence. A valid driver’s license, insurance and car are required.
