Principal AI Developer Join the OpenText Cloud Services team as a Principal AI Developer and help shape the future of AI in the cloud. Our Cloud Services & Enablement team builds secure, scalable, and efficient MLOps infrastructure and workflows across public cloud environments. In this role, you’ll play a key part in bringing AI/ML models to life—powering OpenText’s industry‑leading SaaS applications. Your work will help us achieve our vision: to be the world’s leading Information Management company, where information and AI empower every person and organization to reach their full potential. What The Role Offers (Responsibilities) Design and implement scalable, secure MLOps pipelines using modern CI/CD tools and cloud‑native services. Automate deployment, monitoring, and governance of machine learning models in production. Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and DevOps teams to streamline model training, validation, and deployment. Manage and optimize ML infrastructure, including GPU/TPU provisioning, distributed training, and model serving platforms. Ensure reproducibility, traceability, and compliance through robust versioning and audit practices. Troubleshoot complex ML pipeline and infrastructure issues with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost‑efficiency. Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) for ML environments using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Lead improvements in observability, monitoring, and alerting for ML systems. Contribute to internal MLOps standards, best practices, and documentation. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and cross‑functional partners. What You Need To Succeed (Qualifications) 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on MLOps or ML infrastructure. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially for ML workloads. Hands‑on experience with ML lifecycle tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML. Familiarity with container orchestration (EKS/GKE/AKS) and model serving frameworks (e.g., VLLM, TorchServe). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Flux, Argo Workflows) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Helm, Ansible). Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, and YAML. Understanding of agentic frameworks (e.g., Google’s Agent Development Kit) and ability to deploy custom operations‑centric agents. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch). Knowledge of data and model versioning, experiment tracking, and compliance in ML environments. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. A passion for learning and staying ahead of MLOps trends and technologies.
