Summer Student, Corporate Finance

Location:22 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M4T 2S5This Summer Student role will support the **Corporate Finance** team and will get the opportunity for some hands-on experience within the fields of **Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Treasury** at a fast-paced real estate company. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a wide range of matters. Throughout the work term, students will participate in exciting events, including department information sessions, coffee chats with senior leaders, company-wide culture events, quarterly Town Halls, and skill-building workshops.## **Responsibilities:**You will have the opportunity to work on several diverse projects. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:* Corporate cash flow forecasting, to ensure the Trust has sufficient liquidity to support the business* Cash management, including overseeing the corporate revolving facility and bank accounts* Preparing materials for senior management review as part of our quarterly business review* Preparing due diligence material required for financing transactions* Supporting the organization of investor events and senior management investor roadshows* Assisting in the preparation and updating of investor communication materials, including presentations, fact sheets, and other briefing documents for meetings and earnings calls* Maintaining investor databases and assisting with market research and peer analysis to support investor engagement strategies* Following economic, industry, and credit market news## ## **Qualifications:*** Relevant undergraduate program and area of interest* Demonstrates initiative, dependability, and reliability, and goes beyond what is required without being asked* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for details* Ability to organize and prioritize various tasks in a fast-paced environment.* Work independently and as an integral part of the team with minimal supervision* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills## **About Choice Properties**Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust is an owner, manager and developer of well-located retail and commercial real estate across Canada.
