The York Region District School Board invites passionate teachers for this Long Term Occasional position with a focus on Grade 7/8 homeroom and Science subjects. Candidates should prioritize student engagement, possess Ontario College of Teachers qualifications, and provide references to support their teaching practice. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging Science lessons for Grade 7 and 8 students • Support student academic achievement and wellbeing • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive learning environment • Maintain effective classroom management and organization • Assess student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Requirements: • Ontario College of Teachers qualification required • Proven experience in teaching Grade 7/8 or Science subjects • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles • Ability to provide professional references and pass a police check
