Senior Credit Solutions Manager, Commercial Banking - Halifax/Moncton or St. John's locations Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada 13 hours ago Job Overview Support transformation initiatives within the lending area by assisting with process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency. This role helps coordinate change activities, maintain governance standards, and engage with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Drive adoption of intuitive tools and interfaces to minimize manual intervention. You’re fluent in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec. Responsibilities Identify, Scope, and Prioritize “Change the Bank” Initiatives Assess opportunities for operational improvement and innovation. Align initiatives with strategic objectives and business priorities. Ongoing Impact Assessment Monitor and evaluate the effects of lending transformation programs. Ensure changes deliver measurable benefits and mitigate risks. Credit Initiatives Lead strategic credit transformation projects to improve efficiency and compliance. Drive policy simplification for clarity and ease of execution. Collaborate with stakeholders to simplify credit processes across platforms. Partner with risk teams and various stakeholders. Simplification Journey Establish guiding principles for reducing redundancy and improving user experience. Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group. Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives. Assist in the development of strategic plans. Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making. Participate in implementation of strategic initiatives within the group and across BMO by partnering with various internal & external stakeholders; complexity of initiatives may vary and usually involve multiple stakeholders across the enterprise. Act as a relationship manager on assigned projects/programs and ensure alignment to overall enterprise and group goals. Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs. Participate in project/program design and provide advice & subject matter expertise to achieve required business results. Conduct analysis required to inform strategic recommendations and consider the “big picture” when assessing whether or not a course of action is advisable in terms of the group and enterprise goals. Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of programs & solutions. May network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices. Break down strategic problems, analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Monitor and track performance, and address any issues. Build change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives. Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation, raise issues with stakeholders and offer solutions to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize delivery. Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise‑wide focus. Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support. Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Work independently and regularly handle non‑routine situations. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Verbal & written communication skills – In‑depth. Collaboration & team skills – In‑depth. Analytical and problem‑solving skills – In‑depth. Influence skills – In‑depth. Data‑driven decision making – In‑depth. Language You’re fluent in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec. Salary $75,900.00 – $141,900.00 Pay Type Salaried Benefits BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type are described above. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
