Instructor Therapist (Evenings and Weekends) Join to apply for the Instructor Therapist (Evenings and Weekends) role at Kinark Child and Family Services 1 day ago - Be among the first 25 applicants Job Summary Kinark Child and Family Services is looking for qualified Instructor Therapists to join the Autism Services team. The role involves intensive behavioural intervention for children and youth with autism in home, clinic, centre, and classroom-based settings, both one‑on‑one and in small groups. Availability This position requires the successful candidate to be available on evenings (3pm – 8pm) and on weekends. The candidate may also be required to work out of other Kinark sites and be re‑assigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs. Duties & Responsibilities Deliver evidence‑based ABA programming, including skill acquisition, teaching appropriate behaviours, reducing challenging behaviour, teaching communication, social, play, and life skills. Maintain regular progress updates and parent coaching sessions, liaising with families. Create teaching materials to support programming. Collect and monitor data, conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments, track progress with detailed daily records. Maintain the clinical binder for each client, prepare data sheets, daily graphing, adjust programming based on revisions and mastery criteria. Participate in agency initiatives to enhance supports and services. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Autism and Behaviour Science, Behavioural Psychology, or a related field. College diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, or Developmental Service Worker may be considered. Current enrolment in a diploma or degree program may be considered. 1 year of experience delivering ABA‑based programming (asset). Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) (asset). Strong organizational, interpersonal, time‑management, and communication skills. Ability to work as a member of a team. Valid Ontario driver’s licence, access to reliable vehicle, willing to obtain automobile insurance with minimum liability of one million dollars. Knowledge concerning cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages (considered assets). First Aid/CPR training (asset).
