Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for a U.S. Tax Associate based in either Edmonton, AB or Sherwood Park, AB. The U.S. Tax Associate will be responsible for supporting clients with tax compliance and tax preparation processes, including filing, reporting, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include researching tax laws, assisting with bookkeeping related to taxes, and advising clients on best practices for minimizing tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with applicable laws. Collaboration with colleagues and other departments to address complex tax issues is a key part of this role. Qualifications Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general Tax-related processes Understanding of Tax Law and the ability to navigate complex regulations Strong knowledge of Finance principles and their application to tax preparation and planning Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation or working toward CPA certification is an asset Preference Preference will be given to candidates who already have a PTIN and, at a minimum, participate in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program.
