Health and Safety CoordinatorJob Category: Clow Darling Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Job Location: Thunder BayPay: CA$72,800.00-CA$78,000 per yearPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Clow Darling. The Health and Safety Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that all health and safety practices, policies, and regulations are effectively implemented as well as maintained across all areas. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees while complying with provincial and federal regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Implement Safety Programs: Maintain, design, develop, and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs that align with the company’s safety standards and regulatory requirements.Site Inspections: Conduct occasional site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Provide recommendations for corrective actions where necessary.Training & Education: Organize and lead safety training sessions for staff ensuring that all team members are well-versed in safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper equipment usage.Incident Reporting & Investigation: Lead investigations of workplace accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Document incidents, analyze root causes, and collaborate with management to implement corrective actions.Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all health and safety procedures comply with applicable local, provincial, and federal laws, including OHSA and other relevant regulations. Keep up to date with changes in safety legislation and industry standards.3rd party compliances: Ensure 3rd party compliance (ISNetworld, Cognibox, etc) is maintained and currentSafety Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on safety training, inspections, certifications, and incident reports.
