Job Description Mechanic I – Stockton, CA Pay Range $36-$39 per hour As a Mechanic I, you will support aircraft engine accessory overhaul operations by performing hands‑on assembly, inspection, testing, and repair work in accordance with technical data and safety standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. What You’ll Do Assembly, disassembly, repair, inspection, and testing of aircraft engine accessories Subassembly testing and calibration of various parts of aircraft engine accessories Read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper operating conditions Test bench set‑up and operation Effective and accurate use of tools Troubleshoot and practical problem‑solving skills Lead, train, and mentor Accessory Shop Mechanic Trainee employees Require minimal supervision Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy Observe all applicable safety requirements/regulations Follow both written and verbal instructions Maintain cleanliness and organize workstations Participate in continuous process improvement Perform other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift to 50lbs without assistance Ability to stand for extended periods of time Proficient with English language to interpret and follow various technical data Proficiency in using hand and power tools Preferred Qualifications Experience working with J‑85 engines is a plus Some A&P certification or equivalent experience through education and hands‑on training At least 1–2 years of experience in aircraft engine accessory overhaul and repair Benefits That Make Life Better Comprehensive Healthcare 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested Paid Time Off starting on day one Bonus opportunities Health‑ & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Short‑ & Long‑Term Disability Life & AD&D Insurance Learning & Training opportunities About Us With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
