Whether you are looking for your first job in the industry or already have trailer and vehicle‑repair experience, U‑Haul is the place for you. We have the largest fleet of trucks and trailers in the industry and we need a first‑class team to keep them maintained for our customers. We add to our fleet each year, so you’ll always be working on the latest equipment. You will also be able to grow through our Technician Training Program, with classes from Ford, GM and U‑Haul. U‑Haul provides the tools you need and you’ll learn from our long‑term team members in a family atmosphere. Primary Responsibilities Secure trailers on lifts and dollies. Perform tire and brake maintenance. Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components. Dismount, balance and mount tires. Occasionally road‑test vehicles. Work on a production line. Use proprietary electronic pre‑inspection and repair checklist. Minimum Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of repair experience preferred. Driver’s license. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Physical Demands The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs.
