Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.What you will doRebuild and/or repair rides & attractions as specified.Perform accurate and timely ride inspections.Maintain all required service records and logs.Make recommendations for improvements, modifications, upgrades and report findings to Supervisor in a timely manner.Assist with major overhauls, modifications and alterations as required.Ensure the safe operation of each work area and project.Participate in and lead safety discussions in Toolbox Talks.Meet all training obligations, including attendance, participation, exams and certifications as required.Provide direction to junior technicians as required.Assist with general cleaning, inspection and reassembly of equipment.Assist with daily preventative maintenance program.Install new equipment.Maintain a safe and clean working environment.Safely operate mobile equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, zoom booms).Perform other related duties as assigned.What else you will bringMust have successful completion of Grade 12.Post-secondary training to a Trades Qualification (TQ) or equivalent experience.Mechanic or Millwright license preferred.Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license (driver’s abstract required).Must be a designated member of the High Angle Rescue team.Must obtain NARSO / AIMS license after required hours.Experience in a diverse industrial environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work day and afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays as required.Problem solving and ability to meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with management, staff, contractors and guests.Ownership of tools and safety boots.Machining exposure or welding experience (SMAW, CWB certified) is an asset.Outdoor work in all weather conditions; physical ability to meet job demands (weights up to 23 kg, heights up to 70 m, standing, walking, bending, etc.).Occupational First Aid Level II is an asset.Successful candidates may be required to undergo a Criminal Record Check.Who you areStrong communicatorSelf-starter and team playerAdaptable and customer-focused, with a positive attitudeHow to applyApplications can be submitted via the PNE website at www.pne.ca/jobs and will be accepted until the role is filled.
