As a member of our team, you will develop new mechanics and original concepts while maintaining awareness of the brand/IP and technology alongside the creative team to design, prototype, and execute the core principles and vision of the title. Your hands-on design efforts play a central role in establishing the game's fun factor, directly impacting its potential success. You will report to the principal Game Designer and will work with the production, the creative director, and other stakeholders. Your goal: prototype and produce an outstanding and unforgettable player experience that keeps players excited and engaged. You are responsible for reviewing, refining, and polishing your work all while seeking constructive feedback from players and teammates alike. You are also responsible for ensuring that the development team clearly understands the vision of the game mechanics, systems, or features you have designed.In this role you will :Provide design vision & documentation to achieve unparalleled gameplay, controls, interface, etc;Provide time estimates, upon request;Search for solutions to address client & community feedback and stay on track (budget/scope/timeline);Maintain high-quality gameplay that stays within the confines of the brand and IP;Ensure that difficulty and progression curves are consistent and appropriate for the type of game and audience;Build solid game systems and balance them during the whole life of the product;Create & update all game design documentation;Create and balance gameplay systems.What we’re looking for:5+ years of experience in the video game industry as a game designer;Keep abreast of current trends in gameplay and game systems with a strong interest in competitive team games;Passionate about games and best practices for games as a service;Able to communicate knowledge and ideas (flowcharts, feature specs, data reports, etc.) to team members;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (fluent in English);Involved in the pre-production, production and post-production phases of at least 2 published games.Experience in an established studio in the gaming industry is a big asset;Proficiency with Unreal and Blueprints for scripting and testing purposes to gain bonus cookie points;Experience developing on multiple platforms (console, PC, and mobile) a plus.Dans ce rôle, vous devrez :Fournir une vision et une documentation de conception pour obtenir un gameplay, des contrôles, une interface, etc.Fournir sur demande des estimations de temps et d'échéances;Chercher des solutions pour répondre aux commentaires des clients et de la communauté tout en respectant le budget, la portée et les délais;Maintenir un gameplay de haute qualité qui restera dans les limites de la marque et de l'IP;S'assurer que les courbes de difficulté et de progression soient cohérentes et appropriées pour le type de jeu et du public;Construire des systèmes de jeu solides et les équilibrer pendant toute la durée de vie du produit;Créer et mettre à jour toute la documentation relative à la conception du jeu;Créer et équilibrer les systèmes de gameplay.Ce que nous recherchons :5+ années d'expérience dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo en tant que concepteur-rice de jeux ;Rester è l’affût des tendances actuelles en matière de gameplay et de systèmes de jeu avec un intérêt marqué pour les jeux d'équipe compétitifs ;Être passionné par les jeux et les meilleures pratiques pour les jeux en tant que service ;Capacité à communiquer des connaissances et des idées (organigrammes, spécifications de fonctionnalités, rapports de données, etc.) aux membres de l'équipe ;Excellentes compétences en communication, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral (maîtrise de l'anglais) ;Être impliqué dans les phases de pré-production, de production et de post-production d'au moins 2 jeux publiés.Expérience dans un studio établi dans l'industrie du jeu est un atout important ;Maîtrise d'Unreal et de Blueprints à des fins de script et de test pour gagner des points de cookie supplémentaires ;Expérience en développement sur plusieurs plateformes (console, PC et mobile) un plus.Toutes nos opportunités d'emploi sont offertes aux résidents du Québec et de l'Ontario et le mode de travail est choisi par l'employé (100% télétravail, Flex. ou 100% au bureau), sauf indication contraire. En tant que membre de notre équipe, tu travaillereras de pair avec tes collègues en création pour concevoir, prototyper et exécuter les principes fondamentaux ainsi que la vision de notre nouvel IP. Tu relèveras du concepteur principal, et tu auras à travailler avec la direction de la conception, la production ainsi que plusieurs autres parties prenantes. Ton objectif : prototyper et produire une expérience de jeu exceptionnelle et inoubliable qui permettra de maintenir les joueurs enthousiastes et engagés.Ton travail de conception aura un rôle clé dans l'établissement du facteur d'amusement du jeu, ce qui aura un impact direct sur son succès potentiel. Pour ce faire, tu seras responsable de la révision, de l'affinage et du polissage de votre travail tout en recherchant des commentaires constructifs de la part des joueurs et de ton équipe. Tu seras également chargé de veiller à ce que l'équipe de développement soit alignée avec la vision des mécanismes, des systèmes ou des fonctionnalités de jeu que vous aurez conçu.
