Manager Capital Equipment and Space Planning Join to apply for the Manager Capital Equipment and Space Planning role at Covenant Health Canada. Overview The Provincial Manager will lead the strategic planning, procurement, and lifecycle management of capital equipment, space planning, and furnishings across healthcare facilities and corporate spaces. Responsibilities Develop and implement provincial strategies for capital equipment planning, procurement, and replacement. Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety regulations, and budgetary guidelines. Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring. Manage procurement, installation, and long‑term lifecycle of equipment. Lead space planning initiatives to optimize functionality and workflow in healthcare and corporate settings. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and design teams on renovations and new builds. Establish standards for furnishings that support infection prevention, durability, and ergonomic requirements. Develop policies and procedures for capital equipment and space planning. Monitor budgets, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. Ensure compliance with provincial and organizational standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment and/or space planning, healthcare facility management, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of the provincial health landscape, healthcare operations, equipment lifecycle, and space planning principles. Experience managing large‑scale budgets and vendor contracts. Strategic planning, leadership, and team collaboration skills. Financial acumen and cost‑control expertise. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Project management proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Strategic thinking that aligns initiatives with Covenant’s mission and priorities. Collaboration and relationship building with clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders. Demonstrated financial accountability and stewardship. Innovation in identifying and implementing creative solutions for space and equipment challenges. Commitment to ongoing leadership development (minimum 15 hours annually per Covenant Health guidelines).
