Director Strategy & Governance – Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG) Range: 125,600.00 - 188,400.00 CAD Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of OLG’s Safer Gambling strategy, including the Three-Year Plan and departmental OKRs. Advance measurement and reporting of Safer Gambling programs, developing new performance indicators and evaluation frameworks. Lead regular reporting on Safer Gambling performance to senior leadership and the Board. Align Safer Gambling initiatives with enterprise goals, integrating player protection into business plans. Oversee Safer Gambling governance under the Ethics & Compliance Framework, including VP- and ELT-level committees. Provide strategic oversight and escalation support for Safer Gambling risk, compliance and governance matters. Oversee the Safer Gambling systems and initiatives roadmap. Leverage research, player insights, global trends to advise on the evolution of Safer Gambling programs. Manage departmental budget and support external communications with media, government and ministry partners. Inspire and develop a high‑performing, inclusive team, providing coaching and growth opportunities. Qualifications Minimum 10 years progressive experience in governance, compliance, strategy, or program development within a regulated industry. Track record leading multi‑year strategic plans, enterprise governance committees, and executive‑level reporting. Strong leadership experience managing teams and budgets in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. University degree in business, public policy, social sciences or related field; graduate degree preferred. Strong knowledge of the gaming industry, regulatory environment and safer gambling practices. Critical Skills Strategic Leadership – define priorities, governance structures, align with enterprise strategy. Subject Matter Expertise – deep knowledge of responsible gambling and player protection. Operational Excellence – lead complex projects, translate insights into action. People & Stakeholder Management – build relationships, lead teams, foster inclusive culture. Licenses and Registrations Category 1 or Category 2 Gaming Assistant Registration (License) from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
