Project Controller – Calgary, AB Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America-based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is on incorporating the latest technological advances to provide cost‑effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. Responsibilities Act as the critical linkage for project setup in JDE based on information provided in Project Pulse. Serve as gatekeeper, ensuring all critical features of project setups are populated prior to project migration and timesheet charges. Review project structure, including WO/WBS/budgets, schedule of values, invoicing terms, force account rates, contract types, and Project Pulse information. Perform the actual project setup in JDE and ensure 100% alignment with Project Pulse data. Create project folder structure (currently in Data3, future SharePoint). Perform QA on data validity between Project Pulse and JDE for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Correct transaction amounts, markups, dates, and allocations; coordinate with procurement and AP for revisions. Review receiving reports and flag budgetary issues on weekly variance summaries to PMs. Generate and prepare client invoices per invoicing terms and PM direction; export PDFs for client submittal. Track billing milestones and contract payment terms; follow up on outstanding receivables and elevate to PM as needed. Track purchase order status, align with project budgets and cost code allocation; reconciling PO commitments vs actuals. Ensure proper approval workflows are followed and maintain the Goods Received Not Vouchered account. Highlight variances after payroll posting and cost migration; coordinate corrective actions with PMs. Perform trend analysis based on burn rates and month‑over‑month changes, plus hypothetical scenario analysis. Document scope changes in the change log; set up new cost codes/work orders; coordinate timesheet moves to correct cost codes. Update budgets as changes are approved by clients. Qualifications Three (3) or more years in a similar project controller role. Experience with electrical utilities in North America.
