Salary grade N04, From: $64,052.96 To: $80,066.00 Job summary The Human Rights Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Rights and Business Ethics team, ensuring efficient tracking, reporting, and management of key processes. This role supports compliance and internal control standards by ensuring the effective and efficient execution of processes, maintenance and organisation of documents, and timely communication across the team’s activities. Major responsibilities Provide coordination and administration for various programs and processes delivered by the human rights team (activities include but are not limited to) Maintain organised filing systems and manage filing of confidential documentation in accordance with compliance and audit control obligations. Coordinate logistics for meetings, including trainings, workplace restoration sessions, mediation, and provide event‑management support for inclusion initiatives and programmes. Support the development and administration of statements of work and contracts. Assist with data collection and reporting for internal and external stakeholders: prepare Excel spreadsheets, consolidate data, ensure accuracy, prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations, draft correspondence, and prepare briefing summaries as required. Maintain dashboards and databases for tracking diversity‑demographic metrics. Manage the team inbox and coordinate responses to inquiries and complaints. Assist the application of various processes, procedures, programmes and guidelines by: Tracking and reporting on investigations, complaints, and conflict‑of‑interest declarations. Supporting the preparation of materials and facilitating approval processes following conclusions of Human Rights investigations. Managing the end‑to‑end process for conflict‑of‑interest declarations and mitigation plans. Resolving established routine queries. Managing the annual COBE attestation and Diversity Dimensions completion process. Preparing quarterly COBE compliance reporting and data reconciliation. Provide process improvement support and stakeholder management: Supporting the development of internal knowledge hubs and digital resources. Liaising with vendors and consultants to manage contracts and service agreements. Proactively identifying process inefficiencies and inconsistencies and collaborating toward an improved and more productive process that enhances the overall client experience. Job requirements A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, social sciences, or a related field. 2+ years’ experience in an administrative role in human resources, legal, or compliance. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as the Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Equity Act, and Public Service of Ontario Act. Strong command of MS Office and data analytics in Excel. Experience in managing virtual and in‑person event logistics. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
