Electrical Design Engineers (Control System Hardware Dept.)Location: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada (onsite only)Experience – 7 to 10 yearsCompensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.Job DescriptionPlease give 7+ years relevant experienced candidates only.ResponsibilitiesWork with Mechanical Designers during the mechanical design process to design a control system that will enable the machine to perform its intended function safely and reliably.Work with other members of the control engineering department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, with goals of being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality and reduced cost.Ensure that labor budgets and material budgets are adhered to or improved upon.Specify all electrical and controls related hardware and software and produce requisition for material purchase.Integrate third‑party equipment and electronic component entries into the electrical design package (serial and network communications, hardware handshaking, opto‑isolation, electrical and ultrasonic welding, vision systems, motion control products, transducers, and signal conditioners).Verify that the electrical design package is complete, accurate, and safe based on sound design practices and accepted standards, and that the I/O drawings meet program requirements prior to issue to shop floor.Work with customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and electricians to solve problems in order to provide the complete, functional system.Provide customer with training specific to their current project (hardware, machine operation, programming principles, program functionality, and program structure).Benefits401(k)401(k) matchingRelocation bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
