Purpose of the Role The Senior Operations Enablement Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of long‑term programs, portfolios, and large‑scale projects. The role ensures new products and services launch on time, with required quality and cost controls, and manages mid‑ and long‑term program deliverables within a functional area. Your Responsibilities Will Include Assess cost, impact, and feasibility of program enhancements, balancing benefits against costs. Participate in internal and external meetings as required. Facilitate continuous improvement processes and assess broader business impact on the Operations value stream. Measure, monitor, and assess reporting trends. Communicate upwards and across functions, updating stakeholders on issues promptly. Influence short‑term program direction while anticipating long‑term needs. Collaborate with external and internal sources to apply best practices. Work with leadership to monitor program progress, report status, issues, risks, and mitigation actions, and keep the program on track and on budget. Develop program plans and schedules, ensuring functional project plans are properly developed to support decision implementation. Help the organization become self‑sufficient in sustainable change through program and project management, communications, and change management methodologies. Ensure program results meet technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost requirements. Develop program KPIs, SLAs, and reporting metrics. Strategic Planning & Implementation Manage implementation of new products, programs or services from concept to sustainability, overseeing project integration, scope, time, cost, procurement, quality, communication, resources, and risk. Collaborate with internal and external partners to apply best practices. Prepare status reporting and steering committee materials. Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and reporting with teams. Create and manage project and program materials, including plans, issue/risk logs, and financials. Oversee research and development of new products and services in the market. Assess feasibility and create implementation timelines for new product launches across operations. Deliver on the portfolio roadmap, design operational readiness assessments, and create governance models and frameworks. Lead operational transformation initiatives and execute change management strategies at program and portfolio levels. Leadership Support Support a team of Operations Enablement Managers and trainers in incubating and deploying new services. Ensure plans are executed on schedule and within budget, escalating issues timely. Compose briefing notes, budgets, executive updates, and stakeholder communications. Provide subject‑matter expertise and cross‑functional linkage for new product and service rollouts. Interface with strategic governance processes for prioritization and reporting. Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports to communicate progress. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet milestones. Change Management & Business Readiness Develop and lead change management strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct impact assessments to identify stakeholder, system, and process changes. Define change scope, timeline, and success metrics in collaboration with project teams. Engage key stakeholders at all levels. Deliver clear, timely communications for awareness and buy‑in. Facilitate feedback loops and incorporate stakeholder input. Partner with learning teams to develop training plans for adoption. Ensure frontline employees and leaders can operate in future state. Monitor rollout, support teams through transition, mitigate resistance, and coordinate with project managers for alignment. Execute change strategies for new processes, systems, and working methods. Align stakeholder readiness through communication, training, and measurement. What You Bring To The Role University degree. Minimum eight years in a management role within the laboratory industry. Strong business acumen, facilitation, and change management skills. Ability to manage cross‑functional project teams. Experience monitoring multiple cross‑discipline projects. Strategic relationship building both internally and externally. In-depth understanding of the OHIP market and funding model, as well as non‑OHIP processes. Strategic thinking and advanced Excel skills. Track record of collaboration, negotiation, and effective communication at all levels. Champion for LifeLabs’ values and ability to influence decisions while supporting implementation. Strong internal and external relationship management, advocacy, and knowledge sharing through presentations. Experience presenting data to executive and board levels.
