Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Labourer - Civil (full-time, permanent) to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Vernon, BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the northern region.The Labourer - Civil will support crews with assigned site tasks and jobs to ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing working conditions and prioritize safety and quality.What We OfferPay as per the collective bargaining agreement ($28.14 - $56.27), based on level of experienceBenefits and Registered Retirement Savings program as per the collective agreementTraining & Training Allowances as per the collective agreementSchedule is Monday to Friday with frequent opportunity for weekend hoursOvertime/double time as per collective bargaining agreementFamily oriented working environmentOpportunities for career growth and developmentKey ResponsibilitiesEmulates Forbes Bros core value of 'WE WORK SAFE' in all daily tasksAssist with and execute day-to-day activities as required to meet project and client deadlinesProvide labor support in various functions as required by projectComplete pre-trips and preventative maintenance as required in additional to all required daily paperworkParticipate and engage in daily Tailboard meetings, identify hazards and assist in crew compliance to safety policies and regulationsConduct groundwork including shoveling snow, raking, pumping water, and prepping ground for concreteEnsure cleanliness of sites by routinely removing garbage and other debrisLoad and unload various materials to work site and vice versaOperate and maintain tools, hand tools, equipment in compliance with company policies and standardsAdhere to safety protocols and policies as outlinedPerform other tasks related to this function as assignedWhat We Are Looking ForMinimum one (1) year experience in the Construction Industry, is requiredValid Class 5 Drivers License is requiredAbility to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew membersAble and willing to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedulesto perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy liftingAble and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract upon employmentDisclaimer: As per client/site requirements, candidates may be required to undergo pre-access screening.FB Bullet is a subsidiary under the Forbes Bros Ltd. umbrella.
