As part of the Operational Efficiency team, you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Containerboard Packaging Group division. The Quality Manager, Certification Mgt., will have the main mandate to guide our stakeholders and promote the progress of our internal processes by acting as a leader and facilitator of our certifications related initiatives at group level. The Quality Manager, Certification Mgt. plays an essential role in the management of quality requirements and the impact on our operations, optimization of our practices and improvement of our overall organizational performance.

**Please note that this position requires 50% of travel in Canada and USA**

Your responsibilities :

  • Support the governance & evolution of our product quality and safety management system certifications in our CCP sites

  • Guide our site’s during implementation of the product safety program (GFSI recognized standards: BRCGS, GMPs, etc.) and other related programs / accreditations

  • Coordinate the evolution of our processes in relation to the requirements of our quality management & continuous improvement system

  • Support our sites during the implementation and evolution of environmental, social governance /ESG certifications (i.e: SMETA: SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit 4P, 2nd part audit/Customer assessment)

  • Coordinate trainings to increase network knowledge related to audit assessment techniques

  • Plan and perform internal audits to promote best practices sharing and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Coordinate external audits and third-party registrar negotiations, for cost & processes optimisations

  • Support the sales and customer service team on technical aspects and accreditations of our units

  • Maximize synergies and integrations within Cascades’ business units

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and accountability.

  • Have a great sense of planning and organization.

  • Advisory & impact role and demonstrate influencing skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of standards and management of third-party audits (ISO, BRC, SQF, etc.)

  • Ability to work both in English and French, to collaborate with our clients and partners throughout Canada and USA
