OverviewThe Category Manager Non-Food will be supporting the National Procurement Director with sourcing activities and category management. This role will be responsible for executing end-to-end sourcing processes and managing supplier maintenance. The successful candidate must be analytical, able to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, work independently, and manage multiple priorities. Negotiate with suppliers with the goal to maximize cost savings, improve service levels, mitigate contractual risks, and create value for their category.What you will doNegotiate and manage all commercial agreements under your responsibilityEnsure rigorous follow-up of analyses completed by the department analyst and act accordingly with suppliersEnsure accurate tracking of price lists and rebate follow-up in collaboration with analyst and suppliersConduct thorough research to understand market trends, identify potential suppliers, and assess the competitive landscapeSupport strategic sourcing activities for products and services with a focus on projectsWrite and send RFPs to potential vendors and respect schedules and deadlinesBuild and maintain strong, trusting relationships with suppliersEnsure all contract details align with policies, objectives, and goalsMaintain strong collaboration with Operations and field teamsDevelop tools and documentation to improve work efficiencyParticipate in team and vendor meetings as neededManage quarterly business review meetings with suppliersRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in category management (ideally in retail or senior living sectors)Proven experience in the Canadian market (category management, strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier management)Knowledge of non-food product categories (e.g., MRO, furniture, etc.)Proficiency in pricing strategies, margin analysis, and profitability optimizationSolid understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze sales and profitability dataExperience in contract setup and managementAbility to conduct market research and consumer surveysFluency in both French and English, spoken and writtenWhat We OfferGroup insurance benefitsSick leave and family responsibility daysFree parkingEmployee assistance program (EAP)Flexible start and end timesDaily transportation assistanceCompany eventsExciting challenges that match your ambitionsJob detailsLocation: Montreal, Quebec, CanadaSalary: $66,800 - $87,700Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
