Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (Casual) We are currently looking for a hard‑working and dedicated Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to fill a casual position at the Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre. Job ārst In accordance with the organization’s vision and values, this position performs a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing, and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital, as well as related clerical duties and record keeping. Responsibilities Decontamination of medical and surgical instruments Steaming and sterilization of equipment Reassembly of instrument sets Function testing of instruments Distribution to hospital departments Performing clerical duties and record keeping About the Hospital Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre has 44 acute care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year. Major facilities include: Endoscopy suite, 2 state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms, and a procedure room Ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis Medical and Surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds) 3 intensive care units Minor surgeries 7 single maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post‑Partum consisted Health Unit and Primary Care Clinic serving the community Benefits Comprehensive benefit packages, including extended healthאמר dental and a municipal pension plan for full‑time and part‑time employees.
