DescriptionAs an experienced Quality Inspector – Civil, you will play a key role in overseeing and executing civil construction inspection and quality assurance activities on a fast-paced project site. You will ensure all earthworks, concrete, structural, and civil infrastructure installations meet applicable codes, standards, specifications, and project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Working closely with the Project QA/QC Manager, you will help implement and maintain robust quality practices that support safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.You are a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a commitment to continuous improvement. You proactively identify issues, recommend process enhancements, and help drive strong quality outcomes. Your technical knowledge and hands-on civil inspection experience are essential to ensuring construction integrity and successful system turnover.Come join our True Blue team on site todayEssential ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and perform civil construction walkdowns and inspections in preparation for system turnoverConduct and document inspections on earthworks, concrete, rebar placement, formwork, backfill, grading, and structural componentsVerify all civil work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and ITPsMonitor concrete placement, testing activities, and field density testing (FDT) processesReview compaction results, concrete test reports, and material certifications for complianceTrack and maintain inspection records, non-conformances, and quality documentationSupport coordination of third-party testing and inspection servicesIdentify, document, and report quality issues, recommending corrective and preventive actionsCollaborate with site teams to enhance efficiency and uphold quality standardsQualificationsMinimum 4+ years of civil construction inspection experienceExperience in heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction environmentsStrong understanding of inspection requirements, quality procedures, and civil ITPsAbility to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards (CSA A23.1/A23.2, CSA S6, etc.)Familiarity with concrete inspection, compaction testing requirements, earthworks quality control, and structural civil elementsStrong documentation, report writing, and record-tracking skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to identify non-conformities and recommend improvementsLead Auditor certification would be an assetWork ConditionsThis is a site based positionCompensation$80,000.00 - $110,000.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
