Key Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans, schedules, and manages the daily work activities within the departments to meet or exceed established KPIs. Distribution focus: oversight of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, inventory and VAS activities. Experience in rapid carton throughput – import deconsolidation/domestic consolidation. Store delivery focus: unloading, sorting, segregating, palletizing, load out. Leverages continuous improvement methods to enhance labor productivity and process accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Performs managerial functions, such as mentoring, coaching, administering performance reviews, conducting disciplinary actions and interviewing employment candidates. Trains and ensures all assigned associates are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations. Implements, improves and maintains the operational functions of the departments while achieving effective and efficient service to the customer with a focus on quality, productivity, safety and loss prevention. Establishes productivity and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains adherence through follow up and due diligence. Manages operating budgets to meet the planned volume for the year including cost analysis, P&L accountability and labor productivity. Works directly with all levels of associates to ensure procedures are followed consistently and best practices are adhered to regularly. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages up to 10 employees with an additional 150+ indirect reports including picking, put-away, shipping and inventory control departments. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these operational units, including manpower planning, assigning and directing work assignments, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. We are looking for Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in French is required. Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred. Various levels of P&L experience highly desired.
