The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the assembly, routing, termination, and inspection of wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies. This role requires strict adherence to ISO/AS9100 quality standards, engineering documentation, and workmanship requirements to ensure product safety, reliability, quality, and full traceability.Shift: Dayshift, Mon-Thurs: 7am-430pm, Fri: 7-11am, overtime as requiredBenefits: Health & Dental after 3 months, Safety Shoe program, Safety Glasses programWage: $22/hourJob DutiesAssembly & ManufacturingAssemble wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and bills of materialPerform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, terminating, and routing using approved tools and processesInstall connectors, contacts, hardware, shielding, and mechanical componentsPerform cable lacing, tie-wrap installation, heat shrink application, and labeling per specifications.Quality & ComplianceFollow all ISO 9001/AS9100 procedures, work instructions, and quality requirementsEnsure part number, revision, and lot traceability throughout the assembly processPerform in-process self-inspection and peer inspection as requiredIdentify and report nonconforming material, workmanship defects, or documentation issuesMaintain accurate production records and travelersPerform continuity and basic electrical testing as requiredSupport functional testing and final inspection activitiesVerify assemblies meet customer, regulatory, and internal specificationsAccurately complete production documentation and electronic recordsParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities when requiredSupport internal, customer, and third-party auditsQualificationsElectronic Technician Diploma or similar post-secondary designationPractical experience working with military-style circular electrical connectors (such as D38999 or MIL-DTL-5015), commonly used in aerospace and defense equipment.Must be able to obtain and maintain the Controlled Goods Clearance in accordance with DAVWIRE’s Security Plan.Skills & Experience1–5 years of experience assembling wire harnesses and/or electromechanical assemblies in a regulated manufacturing environment or aircraft modification facility preferredIPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (or ability to obtain) preferredStrong attention to detail and manual dexterityProficient in the use of hand tools, crimp tools, and measuring equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong commitment to quality, safety, and complianceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructionsAble to locate and analyze complex production problemsAble to use test equipment to verify productsAble to organize tasks and effectively communicate directions to others.Able to interpret and follow procedures, processes, and quality specifications.Interested?Have the skills, experience, and passion for this role?
