Technical Support Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) – $60,000/year USD Join us to apply for the Technical Support Engineer role at Crossover. Base Pay Range $30.00/hr – $30.00/hr, equating to $60,000 USD per year for a 40‑hour work week and 50 weeks per year. Overview The support sector is becoming more complex as customer demands increase. Customers now expect AI‑driven, immediate solutions, while many companies remain in pilot phases and struggle to achieve tangible AI results. By 2029, agentic systems are projected to autonomously handle most routine issues, creating a significant divide between expectations and current delivery. We are bridging this gap by developing AI‑enhanced “cyborg” agents that combine sophisticated troubleshooting skills with product knowledge and agentic AI capabilities. In this position you will refine, repair, and mentor the tools; each correction strengthens our automation infrastructure, and each root‑cause investigation becomes a repeatable solution that benefits thousands of future customers. This role involves direct problem solving at production scale: investigating failures spanning networks, databases, cloud infrastructures, and enterprise applications; using AI to form hypotheses, conduct tests, and accelerate progress; recording human logic that instructs our systems; and identifying proactive patterns that transform isolated fixes into lasting automations. You will not be following scripts, sorting tickets, or escalating to Level 3. This role is for those who excel at lateral thinking with sparse documentation, can transition from packet capture to query optimization to workflow tracing, and can challenge an LLM when it errs. What You Will Be Doing Examine complex cases escalated by AI platforms, deploy human judgment where AI capabilities are limited, and enhance the AI system to close identified gaps. What You Won’t Be Doing Spend two full months onboarding; you must become proficient with several products during the first month. Rely on management for assistance; you need to remove your own obstacles. Key Responsibilities Combine technical human judgment and AI functionality to provide outstanding customer support, focusing on sophisticated issues that AI cannot yet fully address. Basic Requirements Must be located in North or South America. At least 3 total years of experience in a technical customer support role. Advanced generative AI proficiency (use of multiple AI tools, ability to automate workflows and custom GPTs); using LLMs solely for research, learning, brainstorming, or content generation is insufficient. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level is $30 USD per hour, paid weekly.
